Here are five things that a believer should never take for granted in their walk with Christ. These are important to note because they can cause you to be separated from Him for eternity.
1Never leave your heart unguarded.
If Satan can build a throne in your heart, you will find yourself worshipping an idol in your life. Anything that you love more than God, you will idolize, and that idol can lead you away from Christ. Matthew 10:37
2Do not play with sin, it leads to death.
However, the ultimate goal of sin is to harden your heart and cause unbelief, thereby leading you away from Christ. Hebrews 3:13
3Do not harbour hate and unforgiveness towards anyone, no matter the severity of their offence towards you.
” But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:15 Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them. 1John 3:15
4Do not be partial to ANYTHING in this world.
ALL that is in this world is not of God. The world is full of lust, and if you love anything in this world you are not of the father. 1John 2:15-16
5Please don’t ever think that your own righteousness or works can grant you access to the Father.
If your righteousness is in your church attendance or faithful tithing or any good deed, you are in danger of separation from Christ.
It is only through Christ that we are able to see the Father.
It is by grace that you are saved and not of your works. Matthew 5:20, Galatians 3
In reading this list, I encourage you to stand in Christ, He’s the one who began this good work in you and He is the one who is able to see it to completion.
