“….May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.” Colossians 1

Nothing robs people more of their inheritance than a fatherless spirit. I have had to start businesses from scratch and plant a ministry with no mentor but the Holy Spirit. Starting my own business in my early twenties, I longed for someone who could have counselled me or fathered me.

One day God told me that He will teach me to be a son.

I was puzzled, I thought I was already a son. Anyways, that day God told me I was having a daughter and He will teach me through my daughter by making me a father. God is the best! He actually said “I will teach you to be a son by making you a father!”

Now Krissy is here, beautiful in every way. I think of her a lot and she inspires me to work. There is a big difference between working to be loved and working because of love. Grace empowers us to work because we have been loved. Grace makes work a joy. Sadly, much of the Church does not understand the works of grace or how faith works by love. Hence, their faith is useless or dead.

Anyways, I started a website and I try to record my messages, deep in my heart, I think when my baby gets older she would listen to my preaching and read my articles and it will be a blessing and joy to her. I think of leaving a home for her. Maybe I can leave a business for her. I want to leave spiritual and natural inheritance for my daughter. I want the best husband for her. I think CONSTANTLY of her inheritance!

Inheritance is such a powerful word, blessings based on another man’s works or reaping where you have not sown.

As believers in Jesus, we qualify for and share the inheritance of Jesus. We have righteousness, peace and joy as an inheritance. Jesus has worked hard to finish our inheritance – we were the joy set before Him that made Him endure the Cross.

What an inheritance we have received from our Heavenly Father. Some people can claim they love you and talk a good talk, however try to marry their son or daughter, all hell will break loose! Our Father has given us His Only Son as our Husband and greatest inheritance! That’s crazy!

Father, you created me from nothing, you called me something.

You didn’t make me a worm but human. You created me in your own image and likeness, then I spit in your face. You wiped off the spit and came and loved me, you sent your Only Son to get mashed up by me for me. Then you called me your child. You appointed me not just a child, but a joint-heir to the Throne of Eternity. Finally, you called me your Bride and Jesus my Husband!

God who are you?! Maker? Creator? Redeemer? Lover? When this veil of life is over may we draw back the curtains of time and see your face. Seriously, God who are you really?

That I may know Him! I have a desire! I want to know you God! Please! Blessed are those who see God!

“Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.” Ephesians 1:11
