You know, Jesus spoke a powerful parable about “the sower sowing the seed on stony ground” (tongue twister). In this parable, Jesus described four different scenarios. What made each scenario different? It was the same sower and the same seed but different types of soil or heart conditions.
The Bible tells us to guard our hearts, for out of it are the issues of life.
In life, maybe you have experienced rejection, abandonment, hurt, pain, wounds, hate, etc. and your heart is really messed up. Maybe your mom or dad has really hurt you. Maybe it is a husband or wife or close friend, but all you know since that day your heart has been broken.
If there was anyone to have a broken heart, it was Jesus! He came to His own people and they rejected Him. He made the world and was in the world and the world knew Him not. We didn’t welcome the King of Kings with a Presidential Suite in a luxurious hotel, but a manger. He healed the sick and fed the multitudes in their need yet they all abandoned Him in His need. The world watched and allowed the Creator of the world to be crucified. They wouldn’t even let Him die in peace but they tortured Him with their words while He was on the Cross. “Let Him save Himself and we will believe”. They spat on Him, nailed Him to a Cross and said, “Oh King here is your crown” and pressed thorns on His Head. Finally, they pierced His Heart. How would Jesus respond to all of this? This is crazy, mad and insane! Jesus said, “Father, forgive them.”
Radically crazy love – that’s what I call it…
Hey, God wants to heal your heart so that you can love like Him.
A whole heart, is a heart filled with the love of God.
God plans to heal your heart by loving you unconditionally and with all His Heart. All the wickedness and sin you have done, God says “I still love you.” At this very moment, God says, “I love you with all My Heart!” Why not allow liquid love to fill your heart until it is overflowing? Let His love heal the hurts and bitterness of the years so that you can love again. His love will empower you to forgive people, yourself and even God (not that God has done wrong but in your heart you can hold things against Him.)
It all starts by saying, “Ok Jesus, I believe you love me and I believe you died on the Cross for my broken heart. I believe you died for my sins and just want to love me. So Jesus, I choose to take down the walls of my heart and welcome you in. Come Jesus and love me. I really need it. I really need you.”
(Romans 5:5) “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
