“But I have something against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. She teaches and misleads my servants to sin sexually and to eat food sacrificed to idols.” The Words of Jesus Christ…Rev 2:20

What can we learn about Jezebel from the words of no other person but our Lord Jesus Christ?

  1. Jezebel is not to be tolerated
  2. Jezebel is a spirit that tries to affect the church – as we know Jezebel was killed long before Jesus spoke these words.
  3. Jezebel operates as a satanically/self appointed leader in the Church. (Calls herself)
  4. Jezebel seduces and misleads through her teachings.
  5. She teaches it is ok to sin

How do you teach it is ok to sin sexually and commit idolatry from a pulpit in a Church? That is the question my friends: The Bible tells us that Ahab married Jezebel when he thought it was a light thing to walk in sin. 1 Kings 16:31

This is how Jezebel enters a person or a Church:

When a pastor, a leader, a man or woman of God has a secret sin or struggle then Jezebel comes and makes an offer. This leader may be tormented by pornography, homosexuality, lust or some addiction. They may have struggled for years. They are lacking Holy Spirit power to set them free from sin and have become weary.

Jezebel now comes and offers to ease the conscience and to take away the pain and guilt of sin. Her only price is access to the Church, where her demons will soon feed on the congregation one by one. If Jezebel takes this leader, their preaching will change, their source of revelation will change from the Holy Spirit to Jezebel. They will read the Bible with a new found revelation that comes from Jezebel.

You will hear words like this:

“God doesn’t want you sin conscious!”
“Sin is not a big deal”
“Once saved, you don’t really need to repent…”
“All your sins are forgiven: past, present and future…you are always in a forgiven state.”
“Hey, we will all sin…your sin might be different from mine…just accept it”
“There is no judgement or wrath against sin, after all Jesus paid it all.”
“Don’t listen to Jesus’ words…He wasn’t speaking to you…He is an old testament preacher.”

Now it is important to note that not all preachers that make these statements are false preachers. However, it provides an indication of a spirit that may be present in their ministry. The big question is do they defend sin, excuse sin, make light of sin, laugh at sin – what is their position on sin?

Sin will always be satan’s works

Jezebel begins to work over a person or a Church with her new revelation. However, the Words of Jesus will stand tall and its testimony will grow louder and louder in the conscience:

“And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” Jesus (Rev 2)

She repented not! – do you see her problem? She sinned and did not repent! Are you listening to Jezebel today? Cast her down and destroy her lies – give sin no place in your life.

To all leaders, men and women of God – arise, shout it loud and clear! declare the power of the True Grace and New Creature in Christ. Stand strong in the perfect love of God and tell your Church – go and sin no more! The humble and the righteous will hear and believe!
