As we begin to pray, we say, “Our Father”. It is one of the ultimate statements of faith, that we are sons by God’s unconditional love.

So we declare that we are righteous and that there is no one more righteous on the earth. Our righteousness is the righteousness of Christ. So we say, “Father, you love me and your love for me is unconditional.

Nothing I do good makes you love me more and nothing I do bad makes you love me less. You love me so much that you turn me, your enemy, into your son!”

We must forgive

To stand in such an awesome place and then turn to someone now and say, “I hate you! I hate you and will never forgive you because you hurt me!” That says to God, “Father, I am willing to be made righteous even though I don’t deserve it but that person! Don’t you declare them righteous!”

Unforgiveness is a slap in the face of love.

Why not forgive? Heaven will more than make up for the hurt, plus, love feels better!

Colossians 3:13 “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
