Peter writes in 2 Peter Chapter 3 about repentance and how God doesn’t want anyone to perish. Peter encourages people to repent in light of God’s final judgment and His love that suffers long.
Finally, he closes with a warning:
“And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him— speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture, and this will result in their destruction.” 2 Peter 3:15-16
Even today people are twisting Paul’s words but Peter warns that Paul wrote the very same thing in his letters about repentance and God’s coming judgment.
Saints, watch carefully for those who would twist God’s word to accommodate sin and satan in their teachings.
I want to encourage you to read and listen to Jesus’ words. Jesus preached on His Father’s Kingdom not on works-based righteousness. Jesus would often say – what shall I liken the Kingdom of Heaven too – then He would teach.
The Kingdom of Heaven is an everlasting Kingdom where the Father’s will is established.
You can trust and listen to Jesus, Peter and Paul’s words. Build your faith and life on them. Be blessed always.
