“For David had done what was right in the eyes of the LORD and had not failed to keep any of the LORD’s commands all the days of his life–except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.” 1 Kings 15:5
We may be quick to judge people but God is able to pull out their exceptions. Hey, with David it was some pretty big exceptions – adultery and murder. However, God saw David’s heart and although he fell in a moment and in a season of temptation, he truly loved God.
Hey, you can meet someone in their time of exceptions but God is able to see the span of their whole life. God is able to see their heart.
“I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.” – Acts 13:22
In the end, David repented and turned from sin back to God.
This does not mean that we should not judge sin but rather be filled with love towards each other, believing that we all can change in light of God’s love and forgiveness.
Romans 4:8 “Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”
