“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – Jeremiah 29:11 N.I.V.
Before you ever crawled your first crawl or pooped in your first diaper, God had plans for your life. Today you may be battling depression, loneliness, sickness or the loss of a loved one. Maybe you’re feeling crushed by life’s trials. God wants you to know that there is hope in Him. There is nothing that God cannot do; He can return joy and peace to your life. Your past may have been painful but God says to you, “My child, the past is passed; lift up your head because you have a future in me!”
When Nathanael heard of Jesus he said, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.” John 1:46. You may have gone through something so difficult that you too are asking, “Can anything good come out of this?” I really believe like Philip, the Word of the Lord to you is, “Come and see.”
Philip showed Nathanael Jesus; when we see Jesus, He takes the bad and turns it around for good.
Jesus – what a name! He turns the bad into good, the dead into the living, water into wine, the unclean into the clean, and the sinner into the saint! God wants you to take your eyes off your situation and place them on Jesus. As you see Jesus, faith will arise, hope will flood your heart and you too will say, “I have a future!”
So we encourage you to turn your eyes on Jesus, just one glimpse at His love, His majesty and His grace will shatter the chains that have gripped your life. Sometimes the best plans all go wrong. We can have our plans – get married, get a lovely house, have kids, earn more money, purchase a sweet ride (a.k.a car) – but sudden storms can come and blow away our dreams. Today, God wants you to know that the plans of man may fail but His plans will never fail.
God says to you, “I know the plans I have for you”
People try to build their lives without God, until like a deck of cards, it falls down and comes to nothing. Unfortunately many only find out when it is too late. The Bible puts it this way, “And have ye not read this scripture; the stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner” Mark 12:10
Do you want God’s plans and will for your life? Do you want to build your life with Jesus as the center of everything you do? If your answer is yes why not pray to receive Jesus into your heart today and build your life on the rock that cannot be moved.
