We all in life had a first for everything: the first time you walked, the first time you rode a bicycle, the first time you felt embarrassed. If I were to ask a general question about who was your first love? Who was your first crush? How old were you when u fell in love? We all might have answers and memories, memories of kissing a picture at night before you sleep, looking out the window just to see them pass by. We had hopes and expectations of just seeing or hearing from this person; a desire just to be in their presence.
I’m sure the love of your life told you about your dimples, your smile or those eyes that light up like a disco ball. What about the line that won your heart; “I finally got an answer from God if heaven is real, because I saw it when you stepped into my life”. Corny right? hahaha
Do you know that before all of this, there was a Creator, a lover, who loved you before time began.
He says this about you “you are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.” Songs of Solomon 4:7
Definitely sounds like words from someone who is madly in love. He goes further to say “This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”1 John 4:10.
Recently I was just on my laptop minding my own business and I felt God’s presence come into the room, it was like Jesus just walked in. I dropped what I was doing thinking that I needed to pray, read the Bible, you know, just do something. I simply said “Jesus” and He replied, “I just came to see you.” (eyes tear up). How speechless I became, but yet my heart stirred up because here is the King of Kings with His eyes fixed upon me. To tell you the truth, if you have never experienced the love of Jesus, you have never been loved before and if you have, you would understand nothing in this world can satisfy.
Jesus isn’t looking to start a religion with you, but rather a personal relationship.
He wants you to know that you can trust Him for He cares for your life. He desires to fix your problems by giving you a new life in Him. A life free from sin; a life filled with peace, righteousness and love.
If you look honestly in your heart you would know that without Jesus in your life, it is empty and lacking love. Today, all I want to do is encourage you to seek the person who first loved you, allow Him to love you and love Him back, keep your life simple “Jesus loves me and I love him.” Indeed, it is a match made in heaven. Seek Him from your heart and turn from your sins. Kindle a fire in your heart towards Him and allow your life today to have a radiance of His love.
