“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

I believe there is a great misunderstanding of God’s grace today. Sadly, people go to God’s throne only looking for mercy, when God also has grace available for us in our time of need. Unfortunately, many times people refer to God’s mercy as grace.

Hey, if you sin God will give you mercy, but if you want to be free from sin, God will give you grace.

Grace is the power of Christ operating in the life of a believer to make him or her more like Jesus.

You cannot use God’s grace to sin or as an excuse for sin.

A person who does this, doesn’t have a clue what true grace is.

Paul says:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10

The grace of God becomes “vain” in our lives, when we refuse to allow the God’s grace to labour in us because of the spirit of unbelief. Why not believe today that Christ in you and if Christ is in you – what’s stopping ya! Only believe and let God’s grace flow bringing freedom from every sin and transforming us into the image of Christ.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
