Physical intimacy happens naturally between a husband and wife. Most men on their wedding night don’t phone up their dads and say, “Dad, Dad! I see clothes coming off! What to do!” – I did say most men..
God has made man with a natural attraction towards the woman. When Eve was created and Adam opened his eyes, his first words weren’t, “What is that!”. Instead, Adam began to sing. “What a mighty God we serve!” okay, – not really, he said, “bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh!” – now that’s a smart guy.
We have been all created for God and by God.
We all have a natural desire for God which is placed in us by our Maker. Spiritual intimacy results in oneness with God – you have indeed been made to worship. There is a spiritual attraction that is greater than any other physical force in the Universe.
It is in the Cross and the Gospel that Jesus redeems His Bride. When the Risen Christ opened His eyes, He looked at us and said, “Bone of my bone and flesh or my flesh!”.
It is through the blood of Jesus that we have become the Body of Christ. This is a great mystery.
The spiritual desire of Jesus towards His bride has always made me blush. Even today, I can’t understand how someone so amazing could love a wretch like me. I did not qualify to be His Bride, rather I was chosen! I am His chosen!
What I don’t understand is why in so many Churches, worship leaders are needed to pump up the multitudes to worship. Have you experienced Jesus?! Truly God spoke to me this year about a glory that is coming to His Church. A glory where His glory will be the only worship leader.
So I ask you, do you know Jesus and are you looking for romance? Well you found it!
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine. Behold, you are beautiful, my beloved, truly delightful. Sustain me with raisins;refresh me with apples, for I am sick with love.
His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embraces me! My beloved is mine, and I am his.
You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.
Excerpts from Songs of Solomon
Talk about lifting my self-esteem…..awwwww Jesus stop it! Jesus, did you really mean it? One glance of my eyes captivated your heart!
In a wretch like me He found beauty.
