The New Creature loves righteousness and holiness, loves what God loves and hates what God hates.

Have you ever eaten vomit? Do you like how it smells? Does your mouth drool at its sight? Does vomit look like steak to you?

To the flesh, sin is pleasure, but to the Spirit, sin is vomit.

Are you walking in the flesh or the Spirit?

“If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” 2 Peter 2:20-22

Hey, I have seen a dog eat his own poops. A pig will always return to the mud.

The proof that you are a new creature in Christ is that you will always return to righteousness.

Maybe you are struggling with sin or an addiction and you can’t break free. I have been there. No matter what, God loves you and He will never chase you from His presence. You can receive forgiveness and unconditional love from God. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall into sin, you can come sincerely to Him in repentance.

Now that you know God loves you, what will you choose? Vomit or righteousness? As you trust Christ, believe that you have the power to overcome sin and cast out unclean spirits from your life. Command everything that you don’t want in your life to go in Jesus’ name. Righteousness feels like a cool breeze in the hot sun.
