The power of God to transform a life is nothing short of a miracle. Many homosexuals want to experience the love of God and be free, but they can’t imagine how. That’s because all their lives they’ve been attracted to the same sex, and they’ve probably tried in their own strength to be “normal”, but it never works. The same is true for a promiscuous man or woman, they want Christ and know that there is more to life, but the thought of giving up their life style seems impossible and unbearable.

The good news of the gospel is that Jesus died for all sinners, the homosexual, the drug addict, and the adulterer.

The homosexual who says they were born that way, is right.

We were all born in sin. No one teaches you how to sin, it just comes naturally. The good news continues, not only did Jesus die for our sins, but He died so that we could be free from sin.

If it is indeed your nature that causes you to sin, then the only way to be free from sin is to be reborn with a new nature, one that is righteous and holy and does not want to sin. Wow! This is great news for the gay person who wants to be free from sin. This is exactly what Jesus has done for us.

He offers us a new nature if only we believe and repent of our sins.

The sinner calls their sin, “freedom of choice” but a sinner’s choice is governed by his sinful nature, so naturally they will be prone to making sinful choices. When you are born of God, your choices are now governed by the Spirit of God. This does not mean that you may not have a thought or temptation to sin, but now you know that that is no longer who you are, and you are now able to choose righteousness.

If you are reading this article and you are gay, know that God loves you.

He loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for you. His blood was shed so that your sin would be paid for, he was buried and rose from the dead so that you to can bury your old lifestyle and become new in Christ Jesus. Jesus has given us the power to be free from every sin, you no longer have to sin!

God takes sin very seriously, He paid for it with the blood of His son Jesus, but there is no place in the kingdom of heaven for someone who has rejected this great sacrifice that Jesus made for us. There is no place in heaven for someone who does not want the freedom that Jesus offers. The bible puts it this way:

1 Corthinians 6:9-11 – Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

If you want to be a part of the kingdom of God, you must repent of your sin.

Don’t believe the lies that the enemy is telling you, that you can never be free, that you can never be attracted to the opposite sex, if you let Jesus in He will transform your life entirely, from the inside out. Your walk will change, the way you speak will change, He will give you new desires towards holiness and purity. Who would reject such an offer?

Jesus tells us:

John 3:17-21- God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgement against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. And the judgement is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

I pray that every homosexual who wants to be free will take up Jesus’ offer to come to him. You can come as you are, you can’t change yourself, but I assure you, once you surrender to Christ, you will never be the same again!
