Someone may have done something really hurtful to you and you are struggling to forgive them. I want to remind you of something, the worst thing that could have ever happen to someone, happened to Jesus on the cross.
Let us picture Jesus – a face with blood shot eyes, a crown of thorns pressed into his forehead, both hands and feet nailed to a piece of log, flesh that has been stripped into pieces and a lance driven through his heart.
Who would have thought that while we were crucifying Him on the cross – hammer in one hand, nail in the other – He would shout to all the heavens and earth, “I Forgive You!”
Yes! This is what love looks like.
Imagine how foolish we look to the heavens when we refuse to forgive someone! If Jesus forgave you of your sins, why can’t you forgive your brother or sister?
Let go and follow Jesus, He has compassion for you.
Unforgiveness only robs us of God’s love, why not forgive and receive healing today in Jesus’ name.
1 John 4:20
“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”
