“He has enabled us to be ministers of His new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.” 2 Cor 3:6

Today, people claim that Jesus was a law preacher and He never preached the Gospel of Grace before the Cross. As a result of this deception, they ignore Jesus’ words as they claim that they are New Testament Believers.

Here is what the Bible has to say about the Old Covenant:

“The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away. Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God!” 2 Cor 3:7-9

Paul, the apostle, calls the Old Covenant the ministry of death and condemnation. Sadly, false teachers today, teach that Jesus was an Old Testament preacher.

What does Jesus have to say about all of this?

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17

“…..The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” John 6:63

I don’t know about you but I am going with Jesus and what He says….
