“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’S side?….” Exodus 32:26

These days, it appears that we must also ask – Who is on the Lord’s side?

Sin is doing Satan’s works. There are people today preaching, prophesying, casting out devils and doing wonderful things in Jesus’ name but yet they are also simultaneously engaging in fornication, adultery and idolatry. It is kind of difficult to figure out which side they are standing on.

The Lord’s side is found in righteousness, whereas Satan is the man of sin.

God calls us all to repentance so that we would leave Satan’s side and join His side by faith. For a believer, sin will always be vomit; he can never enjoy sin from his heart.

Sadly, when we mix hot and cold water, the water becomes lukewarm. These are the words of Jesus – “And you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you from my mouth.” Revelation 3:16

Why would Jesus say, “I wish you were either hot or cold”?

I can understand God wanting us on fire for Him but why cold?

Beloved, Jesus says:

“But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:45-48

Jesus was saying that it would be better for cold people than people who are lukewarm.

Jesus also warns us:

On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ – Matthew 7:22-23

People, Jesus is coming soon. May you indeed always walk the straight and narrow path by a life of love and repentance and faith in God’s righteousness.
